About Me.
My professional career began as a musician! For over 25 years I worked professionally as a private piano teacher and accompanist, regularly accompanying and adjudicating at local music festivals and concerts. The skills of attunement, sensitivity and empathy acquired as a musician translate very naturally into my work as a counsellor, coming alongside people in their journeys of life, helping them learn how to find expression and meaning.

In March 2023 I took part in a certificate course in counselling which really ignited my passion to study counselling further and led to my application for a Diploma in Integrative Counselling with Connexions Training. Since completing this in June 2025 I studied further with Connexions and completed a diploma in Couples Counselling. I am committed to providing a professional and ethical service and regularly receive clinical supervision in accordance with my registered membership of BACP. (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

Over the past year I have worked with Links Counselling Services in Ballymena and Coleraine, participating in group work and individual sessions. I am currently enrolled in further training for a counselling diploma working with children and young people.

Sessions
Individual sessions last approximately 1 hour and couples sessions are 90 minutes.
I normally work with clients for a term of 6 weeks initially. We then review what your needs are with the option to extend the number of sessions if required.
